Mexico City in July

  • Daily temperatures are in the 70’s, with highs in the low 80’s
  • At night, it can be cool with average temperatures in the 50’s and 60’s
  • Typically rains in the afternoon, most competitions will be held in the morning

Budapest in July/August

  • Daily temperatures are in the mid 70’s, with highs in the high 80’s
  • At night, it can be cool with average temperatures in the mid 50’s and 60’s

No. The baggage fees are not necessarily included in your program fees. If your sport requires specialized sporting equipment or over-sized gear, you may incur added fees from the airline. 

The baggage fees for the Pan American Games will not be included in the program fees. Maccabi USA is still working to determine this information for the European Games. 

Yes! We advise all participants to purchase trip insurance. Please take into account that you will be participating in a sports competition, which may require additional coverage. Check with your provider for more details and coverage options.

The travel dates are still TBD. 

Juniors, Youth, and Open athletes and all volunteer staff will depart with Team USA, as their international flight is included in their program fees.

Masters athletes will book their own flights.

Several flights are reserved for Team USA to depart the United States from various airports. Departure airports are TBD, but may include JFK, EWR, LAX and MIA (subject to change). All Juniors, Youth, and Open Athletes, along with all Coaches, Managers and Medical personnel are required to take the group flight unless special permission is granted by the Maccabi USA Office. Please note that some flights may have a supplemental fee.

Certain teams may have training camps in the USA prior to departure and will fly together.

All USA Team members are personally responsible for their domestic travel arrangements to/from the USA departure city. Maccabi USA will ask you to provide your domestic travel information before departure.
