This event is organized by Maccabi USA Wrestling Chair Chris Feder of San Rafael, CA. Feder is the current Head Coach for the wrestling team at Marin Catholic High School, the Brawlers Wrestling Club in Marin County, CA, and the Executive Director of Beat the Streets San Francisco. Feder competed in the 1969 and 1989 Maccabiah Games in Israel. Through events like this, Feder hopes to engage and encourage the next generation of Jewish wrestlers and bring about developmental growth in preparation for the 2021 Maccabiah Games.

“Maccabi USA Wrestling is about developing our Jewish heritage athletes over the course of each quadrennial as opposed to just every four years” said Maccabi USA Wrestling Chair Chris Feder. “Planning competitions and training events is essential to developing elite level competitors and pride in the Jewish wrestling community.”

Maccabi USA builds Jewish pride through sports, generating the emotional intensity, high ideals, and powerful camaraderie of competition.  We connect athletes, volunteers, and supporters with the global Jewish community.  Our athletic, educational, and cultural experiences build Jewish identity, perpetuate Jewish continuity worldwide, and strengthen support for the State of Israel.
