MACCABI USA ANNOUNCES THE MANAGEMENT TEAM FOR THE 15TH EUROPEAN MACCABI GAMES

Philadelphia, PA, May 13, 2019 – Maccabi USA General Chair Debbie Adams along with Co-Team Managers Fanchon Auman and Matt Halpern are pleased to announce the Management Team for the 15th European Maccabi Games which will take place July 28-August 7, 2019 in Budapest, Hungary. Maccabi USA will bring a team of 200+ athletes who will join the other 2,000 Jewish athletes from 29 countries, participating in 22 different sports.

The General Chair is Debbie Adams of Asheville, NC. The accommodations managers are Fanchon Auman of Chesterfield, MO; Cathy Backal of Voorhees, NJ; Bryan Bierman of Westport, CT; Stuart Chason of Brookline, MA; Matthew Halpern of Montville, NJ; Sasha Klimchuk of New York, NY; Stacey Klimchuk of Asheville, NC; Cori Neidenberg of St. Louis, MO; Logan Schiciano of Goldens Bridge, NY; and Juliet Schiff of Watertown, MA.

The European Games are a high-level athletic competition for Jewish athletes all over the world aimed at connecting Jews from the Diaspora. They are hosted by the European Maccabi Confederation and conducted in cooperation with Maccabi World Union. They are held every four years, two years after the Maccabiah is held.

Maccabi USA builds Jewish pride through sports, generating the emotional intensity, high ideals, and powerful camaraderie of competition.  We connect athletes, volunteers, and supporters with the global Jewish community.  Our athletic, educational, and cultural experiences build Jewish identity, perpetuate Jewish continuity worldwide, and strengthen support for the State of Israel.
