Join us for a panel discussion of inspiring acts of selflessness. In these tumultuous times, be inspired by Maccabi USA alumni practicing the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world.

Panelists include:
Dr. Marc Backal (Chair, Maccabi USA Medical Advisory Committee) – Founder, Maccabi Vision Project. Provides free eye screening and prescription eye glasses to underprivileged neighborhoods.

Danny Goldberg (Water Polo) – President/Founder, Zoomers to Boomers, providing easy, fast, and safe grocery delivery for the elderly and immunocompromised.

Matthew Jedwab (Basketball) – Founder, Helping Through Hoops charity basketball tournament.

David Linn (Soccer) – Co- Founder, Cycle for Survival, the movement to beat rare cancers. Their high-energy indoor team cycling events provide a tangible way for you to fight back – 100% of all money raised directly funds lifesaving rare cancer research.

Jordan Mann (Pro Runner) – Brown University graduate and current Brown RISD Hillel staffer. He also is a huge ambassador of initiatives that seek to support, explore and celebrate Jewish students of color. With Melissa Perlman, he was part of the “Save Brown Track” effort at Brown U that got men’s cross country and track reinstated.

Rebecca Mehra (Track & Field) – Random acts of kindness, small and everyday things you can do to help others.

Melissa Perlman (Half Marathon) – Helped grassroots campaign to save the Varsity Men’s Track and Field Team at Brown University. Melissa will serve as the panel moderator.

Dahlia Rappaport (Tennis) – Director, Denver branch of Zoomers to Boomers.
