Maccabi USA Leadership

Larry has been leaving his mark on the local and international sports scene for more than half a century.  He has spent time as a player, moved on into the coaching ranks at various levels, worked in sports administration and moved back to coaching.  Larry has coached at the collegiate and high school level locally, most notably at Villanova University.

In 1985 Larry was called upon by the Maccabiah USA Organizing Committee to help build its softball program.  He was appointed Head Coach for the USA Open Softball Team at the 12th Maccabiah Games and led them to a gold medal.  He continued to coach the Team at the 13th and 14th Maccabiah Games, accumulating additional gold and silver medals.

Larry has also served as a member of the Pan Am Maccabi Games USA Organizing Committee and stayed deeply involved with Jewish kids and sports as a coach with the Philadelphia delegation of the JCC Maccabi Games.

Larry and his wife Barbara live in Springfield, PA and have two sons.
