The fact that Vienna was chosen for the 2011 European Maccabi Games gives the Games a very special cultural significance. It is the first time since 1945 that Jewish athletes from dozens of nations will come together as participants of the tournament on a territory of former Nazi Germany.  In July 2011 2,000 athletes competed in Vienna where great competition was held, old contacts were renewed and new ones created!

Testimonials

Traveling with the U.S. Team to Rome for the European Maccabi Games was an awesome experience. Leading the American delegation as a banner carrier was an honor I will always cherish. The intense competition, the life-long friendships, and learning of the Italian culture far surpassed my expectations. It truly was an opportunity of a lifetime. Thanks for an UNBELIEVABLE trip!!!
