CHAVERIM
In Hebrew, "Chaverim" means friends.  For the U.S. Maccabi Australia International Games Team, Chaverim is a program that requires a shared commitment from all of us to fund the U.S. Team and to ensure the success of the Games.  Every member of the U.S. Team must contribute an amount in support of the Maccabi Australia International Games and Maccabi USA.  Chaverim funds are a contribution to Maccabi USA and are non-refundable.  The money need not be an out-of-pocket expense. It may be raised.  Maccabi USA has a variety of programs that may assist you in your fundraising efforts.

The required Chaverim commitment for the 2010 U.S. Team members is as follows: 

• Youth athlete - $5,600  Our Australian hosts will be providing Home Hospitality to our athletes in Basketball, Futsal and Soccer in the Youth Division. As a result, we are able to reduce the Chaverim commitment;
• Open athlete - $7,100;
• Masters athlete - $7,600;
• Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Staff - $3,550; and
• Trainers and Doctors - $1,775.
