Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel endeavors, through sports, to perpetuate and preserve the American Jewish community by encouraging Jewish pride, strengthening Jewish bonds and by creating a heightened awareness of Israel and Jewish identity. The volunteer organization seeks to enrich the lives of Jewish youth in the United States, Israel and the Diaspora through athletic, cultural and educational programs.

We develop, promote and support international, national and regional athletic-based activities and facilities. We strive to provide Jewish athletes the world over the opportunity to share their heritage and customs in competitive athletic settings. We support programs that embody the Maccabi ideals of Jewish continuity, Zionism and excellence in sport.

We distinguish ourselves by:

• Sponsoring the United States Team to the World Maccabiah Games.
• Supporting programs such as the JCC Maccabi Games which introduce American Jewish youth to their heritage by sponsoring sports-related programs and activities.
• Supporting programs that enhance participation of American Jewish youth with their brethren throughout the world.
• Supporting athletic facilities and programs in Israel.
• Being a member of Maccabi World Union and worldwide Maccabi movement.
